See the thoughts as Just Thoughts

Learn to OBSERVE rather than ‘react’ to the thoughts

2. See the thoughts as JUST thoughts

See thoughts as ‘just’ thoughts We tend to think that our thoughts are ‘how  things actually are’ in any given moment but it is possible to ‘step back’ and OBSERVE thoughts as they arise. When you see thoughts as JUST thoughts you can then CHOOSE how you want to REACT to them.

3. ‘Labelling’ the thoughts

Instead of getting involved in the ‘details’ of a train of thought – give it an overall ‘label’ – for instance – “thinking about the argument again” – this stops you from getting pulled in to the ‘content’ of the thoughts.
