‘Interoceptive’ Exposure Practice
Practice Pointers

Practice each exercise long enough to produce a realistic increase in anxiety. Try to let yourself feel the sensations rather than control them.

Practice each exercise DAILY until you lose your fear of the sensations of anxiety produced.

Practice those exercises that mimic symptoms that frighten you. Notice that these are normal bodily sensations that can cause you no harm.

Practice your knowledge and recovery skills during and after the exercises

Carry out normal activities just after practicing the exercises so that you get used to the symptoms in everyday life.
