‘Interoceptive’ Exposure Practice
You engage in a series of DAILY exercises (in a safe environment at HOME) that produce sensations that mimic fight or flight sensations that occur during a panic attack.
These experiments help you
• DESENSITISE to the sensations
• INVESTIGATE unhelpful beliefs that maintain anxiety
• TEST the effectiveness of your new skills.
• Work with your fears in a safe controlled environment
This helps you LOSE YOUR FEAR of those sensations.
