Keeping an ‘Obsessional Thoughts Diary’

When you are trying to identify all your thoughts it is very helpful to write down all your observations in an

Obsessional Thoughts Diary.

The Diary is useful in many ways

It helps you monitor your experience from a more objective point of view

Helps to ‘NORMALISE’ your symptoms and reactions.

You see more clearly the connection between catastrophic thoughts, symptoms and behaviours (and increased thinking)

You learn how to IDENTIFY, CHALLENGE and CHANGE any unhelpful thinking.

It is MOST useful if you can fill it at the moment you experience obsessional thinking .

DO THIS RIGHT AWAY – Print out several for each day of the week.
