Are you REALLY ‘accepting’ the feelings

Acceptance is the hardest part of practice

Even after we fully understand that panic attacks cannot cause us any ‘actual’ harm it is STILL very difficult to ‘really’ accept the often overwhelming sensations that arise. Most people – if they are honest – just want the panic attacks to ‘go away’.

It almost seems unnatural and ‘illogical’ to ‘accept’ what seems totally unacceptable but that is what practice is all about. Once you really learn to accept the feelings as harmless fight or flight sensations they will start to hold less fear for you and..

When you lose your fear of panic it will stop happening.

Observe each day do you keep checking on the symptoms hoping they are gone – do you find yourself being overly careful not to trigger panic?
